Application Information

To apply for Stipends and Grants, students should log in via the following link: https://studentgrants.gov.mt/login using their personal e-ID and password to complete the online application form.

Personal details will be automatically uploaded in the application. Applicants must select the details related to their course of studies and enter a valid personal IBAN (bank account number).  It is essential that the application form is completed accurately to avoid delays in processing.

Important: Students must submit their application online by the end of December of the respective academic year to be eligible for stipends and grants from the beginning of that academic year.

Required Documentation

New students must upload:

 

  • A scanned copy of their School Leaving Certificate & Profiling (SSC&P) (1-page document), confirming completion of Year 11/Form 5.
  • The Certificate Supplement related to the SSC&P (4-page document).

 

Both documents issued by the Ministry for Education and Sport.

All Applicants must upload their most recent Jobsplus Employment History. 

This can be downloaded from the Jobsplus website https://jobsplus.gov.mt/  using their e-ID and password.

By submitting the Application Form, applicants shall be:

  1. Confirming that all information provided is correct and that agreeing to timely refund the Government of Malta any amounts as determined in cases where they:
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Abandon the course;
  • Fail to make satisfactory academic progress;
  • Discontinue their studies.
  • Work more than 30 hours/week during the academic year.
  1. Authorising the relevant authorities to verify the information submitted, including obtaining information from other government entities, departments, or institutions related to the application.
  1. Permitting the responsible Authorities to:
  • Share the information with other ministries, departments, institutions, or entities involved in processing the application, evaluating entitlements, and for customer care purposes.
  • Forward information for statistical analysis as required.
  • Take necessary action to timely recover any overpayments or amounts due by the applicant.

Application Confirmation and Follow-Up

After submitting (or re-confirming) the online application, students will receive an email and SMS confirming submission. Applicants are required to monitor their application status closely. Once the Educational Institution confirms students’ commencement or continuation of their course, students must confirm or reconfirm their application online.

Note: Only confirmed applications will be processed for payment.
